It's also going to change nothing".Let's break that down. When Marche states AI is going to change everything, I interpret that statement to mean just that. AI is a very advanced piece of technology. It enables machines to perform tasks that typically require human brainpower. It has staggeringly augmented the way we function throughout our day to day lives, and thus how it will change everything.
On the other hand, when he says AI is going to change nothing I consider that a true statement. Although AI has the capacity to perform all these tasks, it is only a simulation of human intelligence. It uses algorithms, data ,and computational power previously thought and now made accessible from the human mind. So without the knowledge of human genius, AI cannot operate on its own. It's in fact changing nothing at all, only aiding and giving an expeditious alternative. Change by way of new technology, no change by way of already existing knowledge reconfigured.
